Yes, two Toyotas 22 model-years apart accept the same oil filter. Also, all my vehicles take 5W30 to boot — though I don’t use synthetic on two of them... Bonus useless fact: My Tercels took the same filter as my wife’s Pontiac Vibe.

I’m tempted to order a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! at a nice unit cost compared to buying $5-8 WIX one at a time irregularly. Sounds like an okay idea, except every year I’m like, [mocking tone] “Ohhhh this is the year! I’m gonna buy something! You’ll see. You’ll ALL see!” Then I’ll have a bunch of paperweights lying around. Anyway, you’ll see... YOU— Alright, I’m buying the case.

Honda only uses one oil filter for all their cars

Most Japanese cars use the same size filter, same thread , the main exceptions being Toyota and some Mazdas (mainly their shared shit with Ford)

The Toyotas that don’t use cartridge filters mostly use the same 3/4-16 thread, even though the filters themselves may be of a different size

Not normally one to argue for oem parts but I’d trust toyota over anything from Autozone, especially since they dont cost much

valid concern... I ended up giving the guy that bought my Mazda a couple oil filter cartridges , an air filter, a set of snow chain/cables, a replacement cartridge oil filter housing plus extra rubber 0-rings and tool to take it off , a spare rear wiper blade, the original carpet floor mats that I never used, etc....

Toyota OEM filters are surprisingly affordable and quite decent. I’ve also been extremely happy with the OEM spark plugs for my land cruiser which I’ve never found cheaper elsewhere.

Look at the Fram PH8A application guide sometime.

This is also the one that’s about the size of a mini coke can right? I’m assuming the vibe is the same as my 05 Corolla. The lawn mower had a bigger oil filter.

Pretty sure I’ve seen ACDelco, Motorcraft, and Mopar filters at Zone. ( Hyundai too?)

All your cars use 5W-30? Time to start buying mobil-1 synthetic in 5-gallon jugs too.

Even if you buy “something”, your not going to buy two “somethings”. Just buy the ten pack!

Is it really wise to switch a 40 year old motor that leaks everywhere to synthetic?

Sure, it’s not gonna make things worse. No harm going back and forth between synthetic and conventional in my experience. All SAE- rated motor oils must be mixable anyway.
